Feldenkrais, Anat Baniel Method for Children® & Jeremy Krauss Approach
Moshe Feldenkrais was a physicist and judo expert who created a method for enhancing human functioning through accessing the power of the brain’s ability to learn and change throughout life. The Feldenkrais Method® uses movement with attention to enhance awareness, clarify fundamental movement patterns, and refine our ability to learn.
Anat Baniel created ABM for Children® drawing on her study with Moshe Feldenkrais, decades of work in private practice, and her experiences training practitioners to work with children with special needs. ABM for Children provides powerful tools for facilitating the learning and development of children who face challenges.
Jeremy Krauss was a direct student of Moshe Feldenkrais, and taught 28 Feldenkrais Professional Trainings over the last 40 years. The Jeremy Krauss Approach facilitates learning, growth, and development in children and adults.
You can also find Feldenkrais, ABM, and related practitioners who work with children in many locations around the US and internationally at www.neuroconnect.world.
I view development holistically, and seek to engage and empower children in their own learning processes. In addition to Feldenkrais Method and ABM my work is informed by the theories of many pioneers in the fields of human and child development, psychology, and early childhood education, including Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, Erik Erikson, as well as educators from Reggio Emilia, Italy.
I understand that a child is part of a family/caregiver system and search for ways to involve caregivers in supporting their child's learning and development. My goal is to inform families, help them to gain insight into the interrelationships between various aspects of development, and learn how to be powerful and supportive agents of change in their child’s life.
